Fans start then stop

My fans start but then they stop then start again. I'm not sure what's failing, it started up after sometime then crashed suddenly again. I reapplied thermal paste because my cpu was way too hot, it crashed prior to this and had the same issue and it persists still. I know the psu is plugged in ive checked it multiple times. Have started it with nothing but the psu and mobo and still same issue.

I had the same issue with my system, the fan wouldn't even complete a rotation cycle, just a small nudge on the fins. Turned out to be the PSU.

this could also happen if your CPU is overheating but, it should start back up after about 5 mins (enough time to cool the CPU down) since the system shuts itself down to protect CPU and it will not turn on until safe temps are reached.

I think it's most likely your PSU.

The fans go through a full rotation but it sounds like my computer is dying. Makes start up sound then just dies off and the fans stop then they try to start up again. I ordered a new psu already. Don't have spare parts lying around sadly. Even bought a new heat sync just in case my heat sync wasn't working. Hopefully a new psu solves my problems, though at this party isn't I feel I should make a new rig

What are your system specs?

Z87-g41 mobo
Intel i7 processor
Hmw? 800w psu
And gpu is 770 frozr

I had this thing built so I'm assuming the parts are probably bad. I know the gpu it originally came with was awful and overheated so had that replaced immediately.

Have a corsair psu and liquid cooling on its way. It worked earlier then my second monitor crashed and the main monitor just froze but the computer still ran. That's why I'm unsure of the issue still sadly
