i have a montech x3 mesh, and im getting a nzxt kraken x73 aio. im planning to front mount the kraken. should i use nzxt's 120mm fans, which is going to "ugly" my pc(no rgb, but montech fans have rgb), or use montech's 140mm fans?

Chances are the Kraken fans are going to be far better suited for radiator use, the included case fans (however cheap they are) are designed to move air, not push it through a confined space (radiator).
Also, its worth noting those case fans are not RGB according to the specs, they are a fixed rainbow pattern. Calling them RGB is completely false advertising.

I'd stick the AIO fans on the AIO itself. Case fans...should be left as is, be case fans.

where should the aio fans be? in front of the aio or behind?

"in front" meaning the aio fans are right behind the case fans and "behind" meaning the radiator is behind the case fans, then the aio fans

If you are front mounting your AIO you want the fans to be blowing through the radiator. So in this case, neither.
Remove the case fans, install the AIO with the fans pressed against the front of the case, blowing through the radiator.

should i get any additional airflow in to the top of the case?

With the 3 intake fans on the cooler, Id say the single rear and dual top exhaust should be sufficient.
