Hey guys I just got this motherboard:
ASRock B550 PG Riptide
Paired with Ryzen 7 5700x

I am getting a 5 beep post error code and according to ASRock website this means my graphics card is not detected.

I have tried about 10 different graphic cards and I also swapped out the cpu for an older AM4 and still I always get the 5 beeps post error code.

I have also tried every single ram combination possible and reset the cmos before every attempt.

I have tried multiple different monitors and different cables.

I have no idea what else to try now, would everyone agree with me that the board is faulty?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

What is the exact model of the power supply and how old is it?

Have you tried pulling the CPU to verify that there were no accidentally bent pins?

Are the motherboard and CPU new, or used?

I assume you've double checked that the EPS 12v 4+4 pin connector and 24 pin ATX connectors are fully seated, and that you are connecting any required PCIe auxiliary power cables to the graphics cards as needed?

Seasonic G12 GC 650W - brand new
CPU is brand new, no bent pins
Motherboard is brand new.

All cables are connected correctly, I build around 20 PCs a week and never had this problem before, its just mind boggling because everything is brand new. It would be the first time ever for me a new motherboard is DOA.

I took everything off the ASRock motherboard and transferred them to another motherboard I had lying around and it booted first try.

I was thinking maybe I needed a Bios update but checking the bios chip I can confirm according to ASRocks website that I do not, so there is no reason for it not to work.

I was thinking of getting a cpu with integrated graphics just to update the bios anyway to see if would work then, but probably the best thing to do would be to send it back, do you agree?

Motherboard.

If everything works with another board, then it can only be the board. It's possible that your sample has an older BIOS than 1.4, which is when support for the 5700x was added, but since that BIOS release happened in March of 2022 it's highly unlikely, but still possible, that it doesn't already have BIOS version 1.4 or higher already.
