Hello there, I have built my PC half a year ago. For all the time until now it had worked like a charm. But it just so happened that something strange started to happen. My PC would freeze on Windows load, afterwards with monitors going black and with nothing to do but to terminate the PC.
First of all I thought it could have been faulty disk drives or RAM. Both SSD and HDD after using diagnostic tests showed no issues and that they both were healthy. Ran memory test on RAM also no problems.
After reinstalling windows and doing some stuff here and there I managed to make my PC to work again. But the next day my PC suddenly crashed and wouldn't even boot up. On my motherboard EZ Debug VGA LED turned on. After checking out stuff for a day or so I found out that if I put my GPU into PCI_E4 slot (from PCI_E1 slot) which is PCIe 2.0 x16 slot (where as PCI_E1 slot is PCIe 3.0 slot) the computer would boot up with no problems at all. I thought it might have been the slot which was faulty. I tried out other GPU in first slot which I had (ASUS STRIX GTX 960) PC also booted with no problems.
It is intresting to mention that when RX 580 is put in the first PCI-E (3.0 one) slot, fans do start spinning, but then don't stop as they used to do before.
