Ferrite choke temps

Hi Everyone

Just what to ask what is the max safe temp of ferrite chokes? While doing stress testing on my cpu these ferrite chokes near the cpu really gets hot.

Will adding heatsink beneficial to these ferrite chokes?

My motherboarsd is Asus M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3

Those chokes *based on brand* are capable of 60c-70c safe running temp but yes adding a heatsink *if available* will help if there is air circulation on them also. One strong word of warning these require thermal pads not paste since they are not the same as normal chips that you would apply a paste.
