Ok so I posted awhile ago and got some good ideas, here's what I've come up with. Any last minute changes?
Approximate Purchase Date: Probably this weekend
Budget Range: $1100ish before rebates/shipping/tax
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, watching movies, web surfing, homework etc
Parts Not Required: Monitor, keyboard, MAYBE mouse/...I have an old Diamondback and pad I really dont want to reuse but I guess I can for awhile.
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg, maybe others but everything needs to come from ONE site and one site only. They also need to accept checks.
Country of Origin: USA
Parts Preferences: Corsair PSU, GSkill RAM, Gigabyte or ASRock mobo with good reviews
Overclocking: Maybe but not to start, do not want to buy aftermarket cooler yet
SLI or Crossfire: No
Monitor Resolution: 1680x1050, also buying a HDMI mini to HDMI cable so I can run it to my TV for movies...so 1920x1080 or whatever it is
Additional Comments: I dont NEED a quiet PC but all of the parts i've picked are rated as pretty quiet so if it comes down to saving a couple bucks for a major bump in noise i'd rather not do that. I also hate lights. The less light my computer puts off the better. I do not want to get parts that run below average stock but have OC room, or parts that have value only when OC'd. I have no problem overclocking but I want parts that run as advertised at stock speeds. One last thing, I do NOT need future proofing things like PCIe 3.0 or motherboards that take future socket CPUs etc. If something comes with it and is budget then thats fine but I do not want to pay more for something I will probably never use.
