ok thanks for help to all that gave me advice on this so far
for this system i will not be going crossfire or sli and may not be running any RAID type setup. just want a pretty fast comp for pic playing/multi tasking stuff and some good gaming too i have a couple questions/conerns on compatibility and things i will point out in the system list below. also i will be overclocking aswell.
CASE: Antec Nine Hundred Mid tower...$120
MOTHERBOARD: Asus P5Q-PRO P45 LGA775 ATX M/B...$135 on combo deal
concerns with this are just compatibility cabling/memory type stuff or any issues and fixes i should know about.
PSU: PC Power & Cooling S61EPS 610W...$110 minus $20 mail-in=$90
concerns with this are will fit in the case? i do plan on overclocking, will this be enough power? cabling/wire compatibility with all hardware?
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600...$210
CPU COOLER: XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 120mm Rifle with retention bracket...$44
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Tracer 4GB (2 x 2GB)...$120
they are out of stock on the reg/ without LED's so i guess i get lights.
GRAPHICS: ASUS Radeon HD 4850 512MB...$185 on combo deal
HDD: WD Caviar SE16 WD6400AAKS 640GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s...$100
just wonder if it would be worth it to go with two and RAID 0 them? thinking no.
OS Vista Home Premium SP1 32-bit English 1pk for System Builders DSP OEI DVD - OEM...$100
CD/DVD drive: SAMSUNG 20X DVD±R DVD Burner with LightScribe SATA...$30
MONITOR: Princeton VL2018W 20-inch Widescreen LCD max. res. 1680 x 1050
*OCZ OCZTFRZTC Freeze Extreme Thermal Conductivity Compound...$7
or other, hear this stuff is pretty thick and hard to work with, but works great, i dont know
so thats it. how does it look?
