Final Fantasy 7 prob on W2K

hwy guys...how are you?
here it goes:
on my computer is works ok, 'till i got to the part where Cloud give Sephiroth the black materia (cd2) - the game closes by it self...
i'm gping crazy...i must continue but i can't! (w2k sp2)

the second prob is on my brother's computer - it loads the menu, and when you choose "new game" it get's stuck...
(w2k also, no sp2, but i installed the update that enables running the program as on win95\98)
anyone has an idea? i'm going madd...........

It's amazing that you even managed to get it to work. I have a GF2 on WinXP Pro and the game refuses to even start up, it crashes me back to a reboot everytime. I've also looked for and applied all of the patches I can 🙁 I really wanted to play this one.

well, i got a NVidia wanta LT 32mb...(poor me)
so i installed the game on my sis's computer with her win98se and passed that part there...
my brother's prob i didn't solve...
