finalizing my gaming pc build

im about to finalize my gaming pc parts and im hoping i can get some great comments about the build itself specially the parts that im getting. so here's the list.

im torn between the i5 4460 and the i5 4690 because of the price difference. no plans on going skylake and no oc. mobo will be an asus b85 pro gamer with cm hyper 212 evo cooler. 1 tb wd caviar blue for hdd. kingston hyper x 2x4gb for ram. gpu will be an asus r9 390 strix. seasonic evo 620w for psu. case will be a corsair spec 3 mid tower case. pcpartpicker gave me a total of $827.88 with mail rebates but im trying to close it at $800 flat or even lower. any suggestions on other parts that might lower the total price. will just be gaming at 1080p with 60 fps or more. thanks!

get the 4460 its a better value for your money

Drop the hyper 212 evo the i5 4460 comes with a stock cooler that will work fine

get a z97 motherboard.
15 4460
cryorig h7 or 212 evo
get a gtx 970 it will give your higher average fps than the r9 390 . will make less noise and uses less power.
yes u lose 8gb vram to 3.5 but u only benefit form that on 2k screens .
psu case and ram are great

why get a Z97 motherboard and cooler for a non overclockable CPU?
He should try to get the best GPU possible and stay at the i5 4460 and stock cooler with an h81m Mobo

im thinking of getting the strix 970 as well however i chose the r9 390 because im not planning on changing my gpu for atleast the next 3 yrs or so. no plans of oc so i went with the b85 mobo.

If you arnt using a K model cpu, just use the stock cooler
the i5 4460 is a great cpu for no overclocking to pair with the 970
GTX 970 is better at 1080p

get this its cheaper motherboards dont affect performance

thats an outdated motherboard with a pci 2.0 slot and only 2 slots for ram.. wouldn't recommend it

im kinda interested with a mobo with red colors. so would the asus h81 gamer be a good board as well?
