**** EDIT: Since people are asking about my PSU despite me saying it is not modular in the thread, I thought I'd clarify in this post that the PSU is a Corsair 850TX, which IS NOT modular.

For anyone interested what the following components look like when put together, there are pics to enjoy ITT. This is my first complete build ever, and I'm kinda proud of the wiring job. I plan on probably getting some cold cathode lighting, or maybe an LED solution, and if I ever find myself with a couple of days with nothing to do, I may refinish/paint the interior and install a window mod or something. But as it is now, how would you rate the wiring job? If it's not a 10/10, what could I have done better without having to buy a ton of 36" extensions and such, or maybe post some pics of better wiring jobs. Thanks in advance for any feedback. :)

Hence my drilling holes out :)
but you are right, hiding cables behind Mobo tray is just one way to really improve C.m in a case.
dont forget, not everyone can afford a case upgrade or latest tech, its often about making what you have what you need it to be, and sometimes its just the challenge factor of, could I?
Modder for life hehe 😛

True enuff. Ive seriously thought about making my own cases. It might end up cheaper (depending if I need to buy certain tools etc. But if you want somthing exactly perfect, its probably the most logical option 😀

As long as your semi-mechanically inclined and are carefull/patient.

I wouldn't mind a bit, but you'd probably have better results if you made your own thread. It'd be a lot more informative than just a "zomg look at my cable mgmt" thread like this. If I were you I'd start your own thread, name it something relevant like "how to build a case from scratch" and link to it here. It would be easier to find for people interested in building a complete case.

You're free to do whatever, just a suggestion. And I'll definitely check it out. I toyed with the idea of building a case from scratch, but gave in and just bought one for my last build. But if I can see that it can be done, it might inspire me to try it someday. :)

Hello, new here, babachoo I had a question about the Hyper 212 Plus you have installed there. Is there room with the P6X58D to allow mounting of a second fan on the Hyper 212+ allowing a Push/Pull configuration? I have a similar build as far as MOBO/processor/FHS currently being shipped to me, and will be building it shortly. I was very curious on this point as I have heard that the motherboards heatsinks are tall and may get in the way of such a configuration. Any feedback would be helpful. This is on the UPS truck right now:

OS: Windows 7 Professional x64
MOBO: ASUS P6X58D-E
CPU: Intel Core i7-930
CASE: Cooler Master HAF 932
FHS: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus w/ 120mm
RAM: CORSAIR XMS3 6GB (3 x 2GB) PC3 12800 (8-8-8-24)
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 470 SuperClocked+ 1280MB DDR5
PSU: Cooler Master Silent Pro 1000W Bronze Modular Active PFC
HDD: Samsung T3 1TB 7200 RPM
MONITOR: ASUS MT276HE 27" LCD

I'm pretty sure it will support that. I believe that the heatsink in question is low enough that it's not an issue. But if you want a definite answer, I can try it out when I get the time.

Alright, that's perfect. It does look like there may be room thanks to the Hyper 212's design. I'll take your word for it for now since I will have my parts tomorrow to test it out for myself. Thank you!

In that case, post here if you can when you find out. But I remember assembling it and thinking "nice, I can add another fan on the other side sometime if I want".

Very nice build Babachoo - I was wondering, can you link to some of the guides / videos you followed for your CM? I'm starting my build next week, and hopefully can do as good a job on the CM 690 II Advanced. Too late to switch the case, it's aready bought, and got a great deal on it.

Thank you :)

Here's the guide I found for the CM Hyper 212+

As for the case and the rest, I just tried something and it worked. I didn't know they even had any tutorials about wire management specific to certain cases. I know you can look up "wire management" and find a lot of advice, but I've never seen any vids or tuts with pics related to specific cases. I wish I could hook you up with a link, but I can't. But if you have any general questions, feel free to ask, but I'm no expert. :)

Nice build, babachoo. I have heard the Haf 922 is spacious, and it looks it. You certainly kept the cable management orderly and clean.

I was curious if the CPU Socket Cutout on the Haf 922 matches up with the back of the socket on the Asus P6X58D. Could one change out the CPU cooler without removing the motherboard?

Great build, Thanks

It does line up. Quite a handy feature. :)

Hehe I saw your Rig on http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/289153-13-whats-gaming-case#t2140427 Cy, I gave necessary kudos on that thread, awesome build but seeing as the only gaming she does is World of Warcraft and sims3, a build like that would be like a getting 10megaton nuke to open your breakfast egg 😛 My own Rig has a few casefans though 😛

That's a pretty sick case... and some uber cable management thanks to that case. Might have to to pick one of those up later on when i finish with my build sense the barebone kit im getting comes with a case. Looks really nice thou Kudo's! only sad part imo is your using ATi XD but im def not a fan of them but kudo's to everything thou well done.

Heheh, looks like someone had a bad day when they built their PC. :)

Thanks :) I always have the option to run SLI or Crossfire, so you never know. I may have a couple Nvidia cards in there a year from now. :pt1cable:

Just saw this thread and thought i'd jump in an show mine an ask for some tips

This is a Haf 922 with custom Gunmetal Interior 😀 (sorry for poor lighting)

I thought i had done a pretty good job on the Cable management, but then i saw what babachoo did, and now i have something to aim for! Does anyone have any tips on what i can do to get it neater? I've got a fan controller at the front, so there are quite alot of cables in the optical bays... 🙁
