Not sure where I would find them, have tried looking, not even sure what I am looking for got my card ordered sept 5. got it in the 16th, havent used it yet as I am still buying PC parts but was told to check this site for help.

If anyone has an idea if I can find if my card is affected that would be great!.

EVGA gtx 1080 Acx 3.0 cooler edition.

so in other words evga is selling factory defective cards ?? why did they not do this at the factory on the assembly line if they know this was a issue ??

who the heck ''DONT'' want a cool running card ??

anyway if you can find a review like this one on the evga 1070 they tare the card down and give pictures that you can see where the pads are ?

funny thing was I went to evga to look at the backplate sold separately so then you could down load the manual of it to see how / where they go on it

Can i ask why you are looking for the thermal pads? are you planning to water cool the card? The thermal pads are the pads which cover the memory on the card, underneath the cooler. (look like small rectangular shaped foam pads).

I assume for this reason http://www.evga.com/thermalmod/. If you register your gpu with EVGA and your qualifies it will provide you the option to order the thermal pads. EVGA considers this optional so not something you have to do and as mentioned above you will need to remove the backplate and cooler to install the pads.

funny they don't yet offer the backplate for the 10 series cards at all yet ??

anyway if this was a issue with the cards seems like evga should be offering a free RMA not make it on you to do it all your self ??? [opinion]

looks like it can cause some nice damage to the card ?

and looking it this seems been going on for some time at evga factory ?

http://forums.evga.com/No-thermal-pads-on-GTX-780-SC-reference-m2154889.aspx

makes you wonder how wide spread this is ?? maybe evga neds to go to china with a extra sack of rice for there factory workers ??

sad part is goes to show that R&D - quality control support has taken a back seat [more like thrown in the trunk ] over hype and sales - you got there card and they got your money

don't you think if they did any real R&D and quality control testing BEFORE they sole thing to you this would of popped up then and should of been adjusted for ???

no its hurry up get items out , grab your money and worry about issues later if we get caught at something ...
