Finding my motherboard frequency

Been trying to find the frequency of my motherboard so I know what type of RAM to buy.

MSI Z97-G43 (MS-7816) (SOCKET 0)

Sorry if its obvious, just not sure what I'm looking for.

if it is then this is what you can get.

DDR3 1066/1333/1600/1866*/2000*/2133*/2200*/2400*/2600*/2666*/2800*/3000*(*OC) MHz 1866* and up will be overclocked. so get 1866 and you would have to go into the bios and change the ram speed to 1866

The mobo can handle most any DRAM, the big decision maker will be what CPU, the MC (memory controller) is in the CPU and that is the determining factor. i.e. the mobo can handle up to 3000 but say you get a G3258 you might be able to run 1600/1866 - 'K' model CPUs are normally needed for 2133/2400 and up

Currently have a Intel Core i5 4690K @ 3.50GHz

Can prob run most any DRAM, 2133 and up may take a slicght OC to the CPU 😉
