There are two expansion packs...Shadows of Undrentide....and Hordes of the
Underdark that give you some new options...classes...expanded levels (Hotu
only up to 40th lvl) and have some great new features.
as far as the online deal goes....you have that already installed, when you
go to play, click on the "multiplayer" button and create an online account
(they're free) make sure you have the game updated to the most current
version and buy the expansion packs for the additional content. then you
should be able to play in the myraid of online games that go
on....everything from straight role-playing type servers to all out arena
combat types.
the next thing you may want to keep in mind....there are a LOT of servers
that are now using the CEP (community expansion pack) which you can download
from nwvault.ign.com
or go onto nwn.bioware.com and do a search for CEP once you have all of
these properly installed you should be able to play on a majority of the
servers that don't use any special "server only" hak packs. Those you can
usually find by visiting the online bioware guild pages (once you've created
that account) and join them (if they're allowing people to join their
guild), the other place to find those server only haks are on nwvault.
