Firefox 16 Now Faster With Incremental Garbage Collection

I have an i5, ergo 4 cores.
Now wouldn't it be nice if Firefox uses 2 cores for it's stuff and the 3rd for garbage collection so Windows has one left to keep the desktop alive ?

After all, not too long ago Windows PCs had only ONE core to begin with.

However, running the GC in a background thread would be a good idea. It's UI programming 101: if WM_PAINT doesn't run, your application looks frozen

FF has been getting worse with each release. With FF15, popup could go background by itself, and I often had to click twice before Yahoo Mail would response. Now with 16, close multi-tabs confirmation is active even when set to off. This happens to all 3 of my PCs. WTF?
