Hello,

I am trying to install a Firepro V4800 but when I do my D-Link DWA 552 Extreme N NIC goes away. The NIC does not show at all in Device Manager and I have no network access. If I swap the V4800 for an NVidia 9500 GT everything is fine. I'm running Win 7 on a Asus P8P67 Deluxe. Even though the NIC does not work with the when used with the ATI Card, the V4800 works fine.

Suggestions

Thanks in advance

John

Solution
Glad you got it working - strange problems usually have strange solutions. How do you like the V4800? I was thinking of getting one, however I might not have the funds to anymore.

Thanks for the quick response and ideas but no luck. I also tried moving the NIC card to another PCI slot but no change. As soon as I boot the NIC no longer shows in Device manager. When I put the Nvidia video card back in everything's aces. I really want to use the ATI card as I have a NEC PA241W 10-bit display and the ATI card is on the approved list for true 10-bit support using Displayport.

Is there a whay in the P8P67 Deluxe to shift IRQ'S? I looked in the Bios (advanced) and I couldn't see it.

Again, thank you very much for your help.

John

EXT,

Just wanted to let you know that I tried resetting the BIOS 1 more time and it worked. The Firepro 4800 and my NIC are living togther in sweet harmony. Thank you for taking the time to help, it was very much appreciated.

ETX,

After picking up the NEC PA241w which is a 10-bit/channel for 30 bit monitor I wanted to utilize the Displayport options which, in supported apps can produce colors in the billions. So far so good, I use it in a dual monitor setup and thanks to your help it seems great.

Thank you again for taking the time to help, very much appreciated.
