First build, Please help me!

Hey guys, this is my first time building a computer. I wanted someone who knows whats what a little more than I do to double check my stuff for me, if you could, before i start buying everything and run into all sorts of problems. My main use for this system will be for audio recording and editing, mild gaming and listening to music and if you have any suggestions for better parts that are cheaper or any advice for a first time builder id appreciate it. Uhh, as far as a budget, i havent really established one yet, I'm just sort of paying for it as i get enough money for things right now. but I guess i would like to keep it somewhere around a grand and max probably $1400

I was looking and there was a windows 7 Home premium Service pack 1 and then there was a Home premium full.. and it was $100 more, and i was wondering if you knew if the full was really worth the extra $100. but i can just get the SP1 and download any updates right?
