Hi

Quick question, i have my first pc build i wanna build
I have some other similar post but with some different components. But i think i am going with this build.

  • My pc build:

  • Motherboard: MSI MK MPG Z690 EDGE WIFI DDR4
  • CPU: Intel Core i9-12900K
  • CPU Cooler: Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML240L V2
  • GPU: Gigabyte AORUS GeForce RTX 3080 Ti MASTER
  • Ram: G.Skill TridentZ Neo Series - 64GB: 2x32GB - DDR4 - 3600MHz
  • PC Fans: Cooler master sickleflow 120 argb
  • Storage: Samsung 980 SSD PCIe 3.0 NVMe M.2 - 500GB
  • PSU: Cooler Master V Series V850 SFX
  • Case: Lian li O11 Dynamic mini

  • Questions:

  • 1. Is my current PSU enough to power this build?
  • 2. would my components fitt in the case? And would the PSU fit aswell? if not any tips to another?
  • 3. Do i need anything else?
  • 4. What bracket do i have to get for my cpu cooler to me mounted to my motherboard?
  • 5. I never build a pc, so my knowledge is almost at 0. Would everyhing work together, like the cpu and motherboard, the fans etc etc etc

Im still confused, knowing very little about pc build doesn't help as well :D

Does my MSI motherboard fit in the case? and overall does everything fit?
I have around 1 hour left to buy the things, so i really need help asap <3
With your 1500 dollar budget in mind I would do this

PCPartPicker Part List

CPU: Intel Core i9-12900K 3.2 GHz 16-Core Processor ($616.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 280 72.8 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($109.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: MSI PRO Z690-A WIFI DDR4 ATX LGA1700 Motherboard ($239.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: Patriot Viper 4 Blackout 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory ($244.99 @ B&H)
Storage: Samsung 970 Evo...
Hi thanks, bare with me here :D

I searched on the internet, and every webside i went to says the motherboard does fit in my Lian Li o11 Mini case. I am really confused right now?
Why would other websides tell it fits, and why isn't it from your perspective?

Thanks
You are correct, another member had me tripping and I thought after the fact that full sized ATX boards cant fit that case when in reality they can.

Last thing

I dont see the PSU "EVGA SuperNOVA G6 850W" compatible with my case?
Would that psu fit?

Also, i would love to know the different between the "EVGA SuperNOVA G6 850W" and "Cooler Master V Series V850 SFX "
What is the reason to choose the SuperNova over that one?

Thanks alot

Okay so that specific Lian Li O11 Air Mini supports larger ATX PSU's and comes with case fans so you dont have you worry about that. The original case you picked the Lian li O11 Dynamic mini only supports smaller SFX PSU's. The EVGA PSU is larger which means that is components have more room to breath and its fan will make less noise because its bigger. It also comes with a 10 year warranty from one of the best companies along with lian li for customer support.

Are you going with these components or the ones from your other build thread that I helped you make? And yes, for the LGA1700 socket that the 12900k CPU uses you will most likely have to get a mounting kit for whatever CPU cooler you use from the company that makes it.

The 011 mini fits mITX and mATX motherboards.
The 011 Air mini fits upto ATX. They are not the same case, the Air is slightly different in design (newer) but looks the same on the outside.

The mini will be perfectly fine with the SFX psu, that's its standard format, the Air mini can fit ATX psus. There's very little difference realistically between SFX and ATX other than popularity. ATX is more well adopted aftermarket standard vs other form factors.

The 011 mini fits mITX and mATX motherboards.
Not sure, what case you're taking about.
O11 Dynamic mini - fits ATX size boards.
