Hello all,

I've been using this website for a while to do a bit of research and I've loved it since!
Well I finally finished building my computer and all components are slowly coming in the mail. I wanted to list everything out and get and feedback. Advice for BIOS config/clocking/updates/whatever you have to say!

This computer will be used for moderate gaming and day-to-day use such as web-browing and such.

Motherboard: Asus Prime z270-p
CPU: Intel i5-7600k
GPU: Asus GTX GeForce 1060 (6gb)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LED DDR4 16gb 2400mhz (8gb x 2)
PSU: EVGA 750w CQ Gold
SSD: Samsung 860 EVO 250gb

My main questions really pertain to configurations of the motherboard, XMP profiles and overclocking (if needed or advised. I don't see why I'd have a need to overclock).

Thanks everyone!

So try not to worry about adjusting settings? I read online somewhere that some people had to adjust settings to accommodate their setup when first building it.

Also what about a BIOS update? Does it change the fact that it's a used motherboard? Should I reset to defaults?

Reset CMOS/BIOS before the first start. BIOS probably has Factory and Enhanced automatic settings so you can try them after but first order is to have it running. Can't do nothing about BIOS until stared and you see the picture anyway.
Just concentrate on mounting and connecting everything like it should be, you can do fine tuning later on.

CPU: Intel i5-7600k- why build a system on a platform that is dead?
You need AMD Ryzen or 8th/9th Gen Intel (prefer AMD personally)
