First Computer Build Advice

Hello, I was looking for some advice on setting up my first computer build. I want to be able to run new games at high settings with the possibility of Crossfire in the future. I also am looking for the ability to run more then one monitor at some point. I also am debating on overclocking but, I want to read up on it and see how it runs first off. I also am not sure what to do for a CPU cooler. I chose ram with out large heatsinks to prevent problems with an aftermarket cooler. I was also thinking about switching out the DVD drive for a BluRay.
Any comments, suggestions, ideas, etc are greatly appreciated seeing at this is my first build and I have a lot to learn still.
Also any recommendations for a mouse and keyboard. I like to play MMORPG games and FPS so I was thinking a mouse with multiple side buttons but, I am open to any opinions you may have.

1. I suggest a hyper 212 evo for your cooler.
2. At that budget, I suggest upgrading that video card to atleast a 7950. if you can't shell out more cash, maybe dropping the ssd first will do. And just add it anytime you have the money for it.
3. DVD vs blu ray, it would matter on your preference and budget.
4. Dropping the ram to 8gb will be better. 8gb is more than enough for gaming.

Would I have to worry about the ram heatsinks with the 212 evo or could I get a set with large heatsinks?
I was thinking about putting in this card and asking for the SSD for my birthday.

and i changed mobo so it supports crossfire and sli yeah.

better for a few bucks more to future proof.
