Hello! This is my first time building a pc for gaming. I'm looking to spend in the $800-900 range and get the best performance I can without going over that budget. Right now this is what I have picked out:

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler

Motherboard: Asus M5A99X EVO R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard

Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory

Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 760 2GB Video Card

Wireless Network Adapter: Rosewill RNX-N250PCe 802.11b/g/n PCI-Express x1 Wi-Fi Adapter

Case: Corsair 300R ATX Mid Tower Case

PSU: XFX 550W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer

Any feedback or recommendations on changes I might want to make are greatly appreciated and welcomed. Thank you!

I would go for 650 or 700 watt if you can afford it because it will allow for more upgrades in the future, rather than spending money now and having to buy a new PSU so you can upgrade when you need to. Also take into account that Windows 7 or 8 is about $100
