Hi all,
a few days ago, I made a post, asking for some help, which I recieved, but then decided to modify a lot, so I started a new thread. I am building a gaming PC for the first time, and am choosing parts.
I am on a budget of £750. I would be playing games like Battlefield 3, Skyrim [with a LOT of mods, such as the SMIM and 4K Textures- willing to go down to 2K], Battlefield 4, Borderlands 2, Far Cry 3, Crysis 3 and so on.
I want to be able to run them COMFORTABLY. Not at 25fps, but looking at above 40 for each on, on as close to maximum settings as possible [except Crysis, that would be ridiculous] as I plan to record some gameplay.
So, here are my parts:
Windows 8.1 64-bit
Kingston 1600MHz DDR3 Non ECC CL9 8GB Kit (2x 4GB) HyperX BLU XMP DIMM
WD Caviar Blue 1TB SATAIII 6GB/s 32MB Cache 3.5 Inch Internal Hard Drive - OEM
XFX ATX 550 Power Supply - P1550SXXB9
LiteOn IHAS124-04 24x SATA Half Height Internal DVDRW Drive
AMD (Piledriver) FX-4350 4.20GHz AM3 Quadcore
Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 AMD Socket AM3+
XFX Radeon HD 7870 2GB GDDR5
Acer S220HQLBrbd 21.5" Full HD LED Monitor
Fractal Design Core 1000 Series Micro ATX Case
What do you think?
Could someone find any benchmarks?
I couldn't, but I am probably looking for the wrong thing.
Again, thank you so much for your help, and Merry Christmas,
Dovahkitty
