Something else to add. Is there any new hardware that is coming out this year, that I should look out for?

You shouldn't need the Xigmatek or Zalman coolers if you are NOT going to overclock because it would be a waste of money. You have a bunch of great choices there. I have that same mobo and case and the 650tx psu. I'd take the extra 80 bucks you'll save from the coolers and get a bigger graphics card (for gaming) or a bigger cpu (for cad). Great job!

edit:
knotnut comes through with a great find on that cpu/mobo combo. His set up is much, much better for you. Also, you didn't mention whether you needed monitor because that would change things a lot.

I don't need a monitor and I only have windows xp 32bit. sorry I forgot to mention that. Thank you, msclman. I figured that I was a little paranoid over cooling. When I play games I get a lot of glitches and flickering on my old 7900gtx. Blaming it on cooling. I really enjoy that setup knotknut. It's definately looking more towards the future.

*bow* thank you kind sirs.

Indeed It is a steal! I'll go with that VGA+HD combo for sure.

All these combos brought the price down to $976.92.
Do you all Think that my cooling is sufficient with the case I got. (as long as I don't overclock)

Much appreciated, everyone.

Thank you for that lasoki. I'll look between the two builds when I get the money to buy it. Yarr, it's a bit pointless to have that much ram without windows vista 64-bit. That will be my last upgrade.

Thanks for assisting a stranger in need. Y'all definitely put me in the right direction for this build
Cheers!
