This is my build:

I have added a 6-core CPU. It is not needed for gaming, but if you are editing this build will it come in handy. And the O.S. is not included yet.

Planning on overclocking? You're going to want to get an after market cooler, either a big air cooler or water cooling.

If you do go with an air cooler you may need to rethink your RAM choice. Those huge heatsinks (aside from not really doing a hell of a lot) get in the way of after market coolers like the Noctua line.

Ditch the PSU, especially if you intend to overclock. The CX series isnt something I'd recommend. For general recommendations look in to something from Seasonic or XFX. Check this list out for some suggestions to look at.

You're wireless card isnt bad, but its only going to do 150Mbs at best (which you will never see). I'd look in to something with multiple antennas. I'm partial to the Intel Centrino Advanced N6205 but try and find something in the 300Mbs range. Even better if it has an exterior antenna system that allows for you to position it for best coverage.

Get an FX 8350 and ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0. Save yourself $100 and put it towards the GPU (Get at least an R9 280). 16gb RAM is not necessary. Get 8gb. The Corsair CX series is unreliable. Get something good from Antec, Corsair, EVGA, PC Power+Cooling, Seasonic, or XFX. Throw an SSD in there

$700 970?????

The i5 is going to greatly outperform the FX 8350 in single thread applications (90% of gaming) . But switching to 8GB instead of 16GB would free up cash to put toward a better GPU. Well unless you have the $700 for a 970, in which case screw it go big on the memory :)

If you're not intending on trying to OC this system, getting a Z series motherboard isnt really needed. If the price difference between the K and non K version of the 4690 isnt huge, I'd argue the K would be worth getting since its the Devils Canyon refresh and will have better cooling. Otherwise theres no reason to pay the price premium for a K series.

I presume you will overclock. Then try this, question me if you want to know about the changes.

Hey, i will move onto it later but i dont realy have much experiance at the moment.Anything you would recommend?

Well if you want to OC, then you are going to need a Z series board and a K series CPU. But doing that will jump your cost up. If you dont care about OCing then going with an H series board and a non K series CPU will give you more cash to spend on a GPU.

If you are going to go with OCing, water cooling in general will give the best results (depending on the water cooling rig). If you want silent running and modest overclocks going with a big air cooler will be more what you'd want to look at.

Any recommendations for systems between $1800-2000? i want a really good gaming computer thatll last atleast 2-3 years? I will overclock it too just curios hows the best way to go about this. :) thanks

In general the builds given in this thread are all good. You will need a K series CPU and a Z series motherboard to do the OCing.

Personally I use the Noctua NH-D15 for cooling on my rig, but I want silent over overclocking. Water cooling will generally give better results but someone of the other posters may have more experience than I do on that front. I only dabble in OCing it for the hell of it, not to get insane speed results.
