Hi Guys,

This is my first time building a Gaming PC for the Gaming / 3DS Max / Z-Brush / & Photoshop on a budget of USD 1K ~ 1.5K. Would greatly appreciate any advice to further improve it. Thank You

CPU: Intel Core i5-8400
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master MasterFan Pro 140 Air Flow + Cooler Master SickelFlow x2
Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX H370F Gaming
Memory: Klevv Bolt DDR4 3000MHz 16GB CL15
Storage: WD Caviar Black 1TB 3.5" Hard Disk 7200RPM
Video Card: Asus STRIX-GTX1060-DC26G
Case: ThermalTake Versa H27 Tempered Glass Edition Mid-Tower Chassis
Power Supply: ThermalTake Toughpower Grand 750W Fully Modular

Regards,
JESSE

I would definitely try to include an SSD, 240GB or higher.

Not all H370 motherboards support RAM speeds faster than 2666MHz, but some may. I have an Asus H170 Pro Gaming that will run OC RAM at 2400 (standard support for H170 is 2133).

That Thermaltake is a decent power supply, but if you can find a decent priced EVGA G2 or G3 or SeaSonic FOCUS that would be better.

Thank you for the Advice,

Will sleep on the SSD for now, but will definitely look into the RAM Speed Issue you mentioned.

For the PSU, since EVGA and SeaSonic are almost impossible to find here, was thinking of a Corsair RMx Series PSU as an alternative pick.

good. also you only need a 500w - 550w unit

drop down to a B360 mobo and see if you can jump up to a i7 8700 if possible

you want as much cpu power as possible

Thank you all for the feedback,

Based on the advice given thus far, the suggested build should be as follows:

CPU: Intel Core i7-8700
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master MasterFan Pro 140 Air Flow + Cooler Master SickelFlow x2
Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX B360-H Gaming
Memory: Klevv Bolt DDR4 3000MHz 16GB CL15
Storage: WD Caviar Black 1TB 3.5" Hard Disk 7200RPM
Video Card: Asus STRIX-GTX1060-DC206G
Case: ThermalTake Versa H26 Tempered Glass Edition Mid-Tower Chassis
Power Supply: Corsair RM650x 650W PSU

Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to secure a Corsair RM550x PSU, ThermalTake Versa H27, and Asus STRIX-GTX1060-DC26G and will have to improvise based on availability, making the Build above subject to further change.

On a related note, still on the fence with WiFi Adapters (USB Adapter / PCI-E Card). Any insight would be appreciated. Thank You.

the newer black/white corsair CX 550w would also be a good choice, and most times are priced well

the antec HCG 520w is also a very good unit. and is usually discounted

it will usually just end up cheaper to buy a mobo with built in wi-fi
