I feel it's most likely the motherboard, but I'm not entirely sure. It really can't be the cpu unless it died or something, after all, you did clear the bios. PSU shouldn't cause those kinds of endless boot, but I could be wrong. And the vidcard shouldn't cause it either. Take out the CMOS battery again and let the mobo sit there for 10mins or so.

You did remove all peripherals right? Like USB ports and Firewire.

thanks guys... yea I took out the USB/firewire etc... it's out of my case now, same issues... I think I'll try to RMA the motherboard, hopefully that will solve my problem...

Do you think it could be because of the OCing I tried to do? I just wanted to learn which is why I bought a cheap cpu, but if there's a chance this problem was caused from over clocking, I don't think I want to try it again!

no i wouldnt say its from overclocking.as the overclock you done is very little im on 450x8@3.15Ghz with 1.35V on Vcore and VTt and NB max out on voltage and run stress prime for over 13 hours now no problem at all.dont worry sometime failure bring you experience.rememeber your 1st time?lol as many people will say that.haha

Quite contradictory there iluv. You said the problem isn't from OCing, yet he "failed". If the motherboard is the cause of the failure, is it really a failure due to his lack of experience?

Attempting to OC a defective motherboard is by no means failing on the first try. He was merely unlucky.

Redzoneos, if you can, get the ASUS P5K-e if you can. I'm losing trust in Gigabyte boards ever since I read the 3-sec endless boot cycle issue.

i mean from what he mention in the post he hasnt said he has anything on any voltage.as i would say a chipset thats capable of running 333fsb natively should be ok as he only overclock to 333fsb.so i would say its a bad quality one.

Whoops, I meant to type the whole name out, as I always do. 😛

Hello there Iluv.

Uhh...I didn't say squat about you being Chinese. You said it yourself, remember? :sarcastic: :??:

Sadly, I have no experience in OCing Celerons, so I chose not to post in there. Sorry, but you'll have to wait for another person to post in it.

I generally stay away from threads with AMD and WC in it, since I have no experience in either of them. Basically, if I'm not sure of myself, I won't post in it. If I do, I'll end up derailing the thread, something I'm quite known for. Like what we're doing NOW.

It's always a good idea to make sure you know what you're talking about before posting.

Since you told about your hobbies and this thread has gone way off topic already, it's only fair if I told you mine.

I like cars, pc games, and...uh...reading? My life is rather bland, I admit.
