How big of a monitor? Do you need OS? Does your current computer have any components that can be reused?

That puts you at 810 including VAT and leaves you room for Vista home premium 64 bit, get an oem version to save some money. If you can spend a little more, then get this cooler and overclock your rig to get max performance out of it.

thanks for that, though I don't need an OS and the screen looks good, although I might prefer an amd/ati system.

If you want an AMD/ATI build, look at the PIIx4 940 or PIIx3 720 on this mobo:
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/140701/show_product_overview

And this GPU:

And Cooler/thermal interface:

Proximon has some good finds there too. The Case in particular I like and would chose it over the one I found since you don't need an OS. The Toxic edition 4870 I linked is better and worth the price difference. The PC P&C 500w will work great for just 1 GPU, if you want to get another one for xfire on your AMD build then go for the 750w from PC P&C or Corsair.

It would be nice if people didn't pollute the forums with ignorance, don't you think?

Sure on that? £ = Pound

$350 is a rip off for those hannsG's you can get them for £250 over here thats a 100 difference :p

You're right, my bad. I guess I shouldn't have stayed up past 2AM working on an old PC! Edited post. :(

Thanks for all the replies so far, however, I think i might be able to save a bit of money, here are the criteriae:

A: i'm a UK costomer, so newegg.com won't really help.
B: all i need is a 22" monitor, preferably with a high contrast ratio
C: what i mostly plan to do is play games (such as crysis) reasonably well
D: i will be multitasking

what do you guys suggest?

Thanks.

I can't "reccomend" a good value laser mouse and keyboard, however, you might want to have a look at the Microsoft Habu gaming mouse.

thanks but no thanks, the ocz equalizer provides a better dpi for a considerably lower price. in my opinion it also looks better too.
