Fitting a Sapphire Radeon HD 7770

As Im planning to buy Asus Essentio CM1740 A8-3820, Im planning to get better graphics card than the Radeon 6550D HD. As I am just wondering, would it be possible to insert the Sapphire card inside the Asus? Im wondering, any help would be helpful. Thanks!

The 6550D is not a graphics card. It is integrated graphics on an A8 APU. You can use a Radeon 7770 in that computer anyway, but the 6550D can't be removed (although it can be disabled). Regardless, you'd be better off building your own computer. You could get much more performance for the same amount of money.

EDIT: Also, you would want a better power supply if you upgrade the graphics. The power supply in that computer is crap and might die if you put a 7770 in the computer. Something like a 380-450w PSU is what you should have for the Radeon 7770, preferably 430w to 450w.

I saw in the specs that there is a 300W power supply, which i think is not enough for some good video card.I would reccomend to you the hd5570 or hd5670.

You are going to need a new power supply for that 7770, as you are going to be unable to run it on the 300W in there. Here's a good unit that should run the card:

The 7770 only uses slightly more power than the 5670 and the 6670, so switching it out for them is not a good idea as an attempt to avoid needing a new PSU. Pretty much any video card except maybe something like a 6450 would be best with a better PSU.

If you really don't want to change your psu then get a 7750, best performing gpu on the market which does not require any additional power from a pcie connector, perfect for a low end psu and performs roughly around the same as a 550ti

ps. the 7750 uses a mere 43watts, the 7770 uses almost double that; 83watts
