Is there any info out there on how to connect a Sony GMD1950 Fixed Freq. monitor to a conventional vid. card? I'm currently using a Nvidia Riva128
Thanks in advance

Can't be done dude sorry, not with your vid card. So you got an ol' sun work station monitor eh? i am at this moment using a sun (sony) gdm 20 d10 (20 inch) with a mirage illusionist 32 meg agp card. Awsome monitor, still better than some of the newest ones out there and this was built in 94. I have done alot of playing around with fixed frequency monitors (I can get them dirt cheap) and I can tell you that Some of the ati cards will suport composite syn ( this is what you need) the one I had the best luck with is the ati rage pro II. You will need to set it up in a dual vid card system at least to start. And also bear in mind that you will not be able to see your bios due to the fact the windows needs to load before you monitor will sync. all this can be avoided if you symply get a special fixed frequency video card however.

A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing!
