[SOLVED] Fixing Gigabyte p34w motherboard

How hard is replacing the motherboard? Mine fried and I could buy one to replace it for $190, the tech would cost $330 to fix it, how difficult is it to install it myself?

If you have to ask, very difficult, tons of miniature screws and connectors, You really need to know what you are doing. After over 30 years of servicing I still loath to even open a laptop. Servicing is expensive, MB swap may take whole work day or more for experienced service.

I second to the above. It may take a whole day in some cases. The real problem is that you can damage things if you do not know what you are doing. Paying 140$ for labor (and getting a warranty) is not a bad option.
