Hi, Before opening mouse , i would recommend using the v1.07 firmware update, I updated my mouse firmware to v1.13 and started having issues, i did operation on mouse, applied lube oil to button, cleaner to button, check the pusher plastic for dent, and found out it was not the hardware but software issue, so before you open mouse I would recommend reverting back to old firmware or v1.07 (was helpful in my case) , if it does not fix it, then open mouse, also i recently had issue where turning character in WOW became nightmare, because right click just wont register countineous press of button, so I open my mouse and use sand paper to reduce bump in the plastic pusher above microswitch and then applied a very thin layer, carefully over it, and it so far has fixed my issue of right click turning. I hope it helps
(I used " losmanman507" video on youtube for reference to open and repair mouse btw)

I have a Razer Imperator 2012 and the switches they are using are a piece of crap.
It's less than 2 years old, it started double-clicking while still on warranty so I had the switch replaced for free, but the damn switch again didn't even survive a year. I ordered a new switch, this time will have to replace it on my own.
The Logitech G5 that I used before worked for more than 5 years without any problems, what a pity!

Ive had the double clicking problem for quite a while now. And if you are just lazy like me, you can just put your mouth around the left front gap and blow. Works for me. Probably not the best solution and it wont work for ever.

Holy cow! I've been waiting for a month for my boyfriend to take apart my mamba to fix this issue. I grabbed my can of air and sprayed it under the buttons a couple of times and couldn't believe the amount of dust and fluff that came flying out the sides. It also fixed my issue. Thanks!

Zubba's solution worked for me for a while, but the problem returned.

This time, I've tried a new approach. I used man's first and best invention: FIRE

I very carefully used a match to lightly melt the part of the mouse that actually presses the clicker in.

I figure that part of the problem is that the plastic used for clicking the clicker is soft, and thus will deform with time. my melting has smoothed it out and made it perfectly flat.

Call me crazy if you'd like, but I will post an update in a few months if the problem reoccurs.

UPDATE.

My mouse is working perfectly. I can safely say that the problem everyone is facing is that the plastic arm isn't pushing the clicker down all the way every time. Melting it flat is the best solution I've had for this problem.

If using fire doesn't sit well with you, consider taking a very flat, hard metal (like a utility knife) and break off a small rectangle(about 1 mm by 2 mm rectangle)
then use superglue to attach it flat to the plastic arm. Just make sure that it is attached well.

Well... It seems to have lasted for a while, but the problem has returned. The double clicking is now happening with the right mouse button, as well. I'm dumping this piece of garbage and switching to Logitech

Never buying from Razer again.

Hello, excuse my level of English.

I want to make my contribution about the subject.

I had a problem with double or three clicks on all buttons, realized the replacement of buttons and worsened the situation.

Being a Chinese clone product, subject to have bad components, I realized the replacement value of the input capacitor 10uF to 100uF, immediately resolve my problems.
