Flash bios without cpu

Hi

I just got an i5 9600k and an Asus h310m-dgs motherboard. But I found out that in order to use a 9th gen CPU in this mobo, I have to update the bios.

How can I update the bios if I can't even make the pc post?

is there a solution?

Option 1: Take the motherboard to a local PC shop and find out how much they'll charge to install a CPU and update the BIOS.
Option 2: Purchase a low-end, supported processor and update the BIOS yourself. Then sell the processor.

If you're looking for a free option, unless a friend has a processor they'll let you borrow, there isn't one.

Only a few top end motherboards have the capability of updating the BIOS without a CPU installed. Wolfshadw has the best advice.
