Question Flickering black screen and vertical lines on new monitor when connected to laptop ?

I just got the Omen 27QS monitor which is 1440p 240hz.
Only a week in and I am experiencing flickering and vertical lines on my new monitor, i tested this monitor on a another setup for 3-4 days straight and none of these problems seems to carry over, however they immediately come back on the first day I use the monitor on my laptop. the flickering and vertical lines only really pop up when I have a graphically demanding program up ie. (apex legends, risk of rain 2) at this point I am not sure what it is, i have not reinstalled any video drivers, don't really know how to fix this any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Check and see if the BIOS on your laptop is pending an update. Once you've verified that, check to see if your OS is pending an update. Following that, you can use DDU to remove all GPU drivers(Intel, AMD, and Nvidia) and then manually reinstall with the latest version sourced off of Nvidia's support site in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.
