Hello,

The function keys on my ideapad 310 laptop work perfectly except the mic and camera keys. I need to turn the camera on and I've tried alot of ways but none of them work. Could someone help me with this issue?

Thanks.

Solution
Could be a startup program using those keys instead?
Try a clean boot and see if it changes anything - make sure to read instructions and make sure NOT to disable any microsoft services or windows won't load right - https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows

if clean boot fixes it, it shows its likely a startup program. You should, over a number of startups. restart the programs you stopped to isolate the one that is to blame.

Hopefully you have not yet done a clean boot.
I have a Lenovo ideapad s340 , as you know the f key by default do what it shows on the symbols , example pressing f11 and f12 will make the brightness go up/down. to make the f keys work as normal you have to press fn and the f key , example fn + 12 whilst on internet will show the developer data. This to me seems wrong as I would have thought to make our special keys work we would have had to do fn + an fn key , not the other way round.
Use the lenovo vantage program to update everything.

I see mike is f4 and camera is f8 , do they work for normal f key function

This is your manual if you have not downloaded it,
https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1172293/Lenovo-Ideapad-310.html

This is what normal f key functions should do.

Post back if it helps you please.
