Between five minutes and 20 years or so.GPU is Mx330 I'm playing on a laptop and i've had it for like 2 years
I would get a cooling pad. The temp isn't that out of the norm though but a little high for the MX330.GPU is Mx330 I'm playing on a laptop and i've had it for like 2 years
I mean like if it's that hot for several hours in a day when I'm playing more demanding games does that cause any permanant damage? I'm not good with this stuff so that's why I'm askingBetween five minutes and 20 years or so.
Lifespan of a GPU isn't determinative in any scenario and it certainly isn't at X temperature or Y temperature.
It's a laptop; it's supposed to get hott....................
Answers will vary, but most people generally agree (until proven otherwise through spec sheets) that GPUs have a maximum temperature limit of 90C-100C. And this is simply when thermal throttling begins. Some casual research tells me that the absolute maximum temperature a silicon chip shouldn't reach is > 125C.From what I've heard 80c is pretty high for the mx330 so I wanted to make sure it won't cause any permanent damage if it's that hot for hours
Again, there's no clear answer. All temperature does is accelerate the wear on chips, but there's no magic formula for "if it runs at 80C, it'll last X hours"Edited the title since some of the people in the replies didn't understand what I meant
