OK, Edward...here's the latest..
Good news.
I ran the boot disc on the floppy and formatted.
etc. etc....then the part that my son Samuel had overlooked was to power
down and hit the F2 to get into the set up for the boot first drive...so I
got that part and the rest has come along nicely so far.
At the present I am letting the XP disc format HD C again......even
though....it is at 92% so we will know soon the rest..
