Among all other structures of Fortnite Battle Royale, Funnel is a popular one and many players use it especially when they are playing as a squad. Why You Need It?
You need the funnel in case you want to get good cover at a place where there is nothing to give you cover like in the final circle. Secondly, you will get a great height advantage with this funnel so you will have higher chances of winning combat if you engage with an enemy while you are in the funnel.
When to Use It?
You can use the funnel when you are in two types of conditions. The first condition is when you are playing solo. If you are playing as a solo, then you just need the basic structure of the funnel where it is just a standard funnel. You can use it when you want cover or height advantage. The second condition is when you are playing with your squad and want to create a structure that gives you cover, height advantage and a wide area from where you and your whole squad can survey the area from a height while being in the cover.
How to Build It?
First you need to change to the appearance of the roof/pyramid to a kite like shape that is going inwards from the center. To create this structure, you will need to select roof/platform and then in the edit mode, select three sections out of four to raise them, this will create the inwards kite like structure.
First Build:
This is the basic structure; you can build it by first building a 2x2 box with you inside it. Once you have built it, create those inwards kite like structures and place them in each of the corners of the box. It will look like a funnel that is sucking you in it.
Second Build:
If you want a more advanced and bigger structure then you need to place stairs structure at each of the walls of your existing funnel the stairs should be protruding outwards. And then there will be gaps left between the stairs and at the corner. So you need to place the same inwards kite like structure at those gaps. This will make your funnel even bigger. Now select the structure of the wall and place them on the outside while running along the structure you have just built. You can place those walls while you are inside your funnel so you don’t have to stand on the outer edge of the ramps.
These are all the instructions that you need to follow to create both structures of a funnel. It may take you some to create a funnel at the start but after some practice, you will be able to create in within seconds.
