As a Forza player I'm really looking forward to this.

Forza is already a very pretty game on the gimped consoles so I am anxious to see what a powerful PC can do.

Wow, windows 10 exclusive with no support for wheels.

Just remake Project Gotham Racing 2 for the PC and I'm all down...

So it's a free-to-play version of the console version, with 1/20th of the cars, in-app purchases, no support for wheels or VR...

Yeah, was too good to be true. Hope it's a good game, but until further info comes, I'll pass.

Yes! Yes! YES!

I'm so excited, best news i've heard all morning.

Hoping this is a huge success, I have dreamed so long of playing Forza on my PC!!!!

I support this 100%!!!!!

I do wish PlayStation had something that could compete with Forza. I know a lot of people love GT5, but Forza is the better game for me. I don't care if it's free-to-play or whatever, I'll be happy to give this a whirl.

What might be a concern for diehard racing fans is the fact that you can play with a controller or the keyboard and mouse only when the game comes out. This means that you won’t be able to use your racing wheels with Apex, at least in the beginning. Turn 10 is currently working on getting support for various racing wheels, but it’s unknown as to what brands and models will work with the game.

A serious racing title that not support steering wheel?? No thanks. I also hope Turn 10 will not actively block other steering wheel to support a specific brand/model of wheels...

i wanted forza on the pc for years, as someone who had 7 xboxes, 2 ps3's, and a wii (this was likely my fault) die on them, i refuse to buy a console till its near end of life unless something that i deem required to play comes along.

i just didnt want it like this.
windows store... no
windows 10 only... no

i can just never win when it comes to microsoft can i.

Let's see here. Forza 6 was developed specifically for XB1. XB1 runs a modified version of Windows 10. So you're saying that Forza 6, when brought to PC, should be modified to run on older versions of Windows that MS doesn't fully support anymore?

if it was JUST the dx12 and it only working on windows 10 i could accept it, it's that on top of windows store only which i assume is the case, that i take even more issue with. take a look at tombraider on the windows store, the restrictions and what you can and can't do along with how it was installed is enough for me to hate the platform outright.

granted, the game being free takes A LOT of the bite out ot of what could have been a complete deal breaker. i remember when vista came around and they desperately tried to get gamers to move to it by making halo 2 dx10, but any dev not under the microsoft umbrella and wasn't suicidal opted to make it dx9, i can see them trying to make this game a loss leader, trying to get people to use their store...

about the only good thing i can say is this is the only game microsoft publishes i had any interest in, unless they pay devs a hell of alot of money, no one will make other games windows store exclusives, hell... potentially not even dx12 exclusive either.

also, windows store itself is annoying as hell to use too. looking at people who got tomb raider on that store to try it, you can't use the store unless you are 100% up to date, the moment you touch the store, your account now becomes live, making you jump through hoops to make it local again.

DX12 only, Windows 10 only and no wheel support? No thanks. I'll stick to windows 7 and Assetto Corsa. I do look forward to the models being ripped and converted to car in Assetto Corsa HAHA.

Love racing sims.. but havent played one since I put a Lotus in my garage. It would be a weird feeling to play a driving game knowing I have a real racecar just feet away.. Still, if this gets a VR update I might consider it.

This is as stupid as saying since you got married, you stopped watching porn or masturbate. Or I am an US Marine now and stop playing any FPS because I have a real M4 Carbine I can shoot.

Someone doesn't shoot their M4 carbine because it's ammo is expensive and they can't shoot real people. People watch porn because biology tells us to be polygamists to spread our seed, and people like me play race sims because we don't always want to stress over putting our real car into a wall. VR will make it easier to enjoy racing sims but the real thing is always preferred if not for that fear of destruction or death.

Why, in the world, would this game not launch with support for racing wheels that you can use on the 360/Bone with Forza 6??? What is the excuse?

I don't believe that they can prevent you from using a steering wheel and pedals to control the game. It's Windows for gods sake. Sure there might bee no force feedback, but the wording used in this article is a bit misleading.
