Hello guys Im new here, so I wanted to ask if my motherboard works with windows 7? Because I tried and the system didn't boot. Thank you in advance

Assuming it isn't defective it should work well with Win7. Have you tried a clean install of Windows or did you move a previous installation to the new motherboard?

I moved a previous installation. My specs are, I7 920 12 gb ram 1066. I try to boot but it doesnt display any image on the screen.

Go into your BIOS and change the SATA mode to IDE (probably AHCI now), save the setting, and try again. Let me know how this works.

The thing is I can't get into the BIOS :S Unless I do it on this computer.. I don't understand anything of pc's.

At power up, you press either the F2 or DEL key to access the BIOS.

Yes it powers on, but I don't get any image at all.

Please provide a complete list (make and model) of all of the hardware components in the system you are trying to fix.

Yes i've looked, but I think everything it's ok. Maybe the board it's broken?

Or the video card is defective. Do you have access to another to swap for testing purposes?

The video card is the one I use on this computer. The thing is when I remove the memory cards (all of them) I don't get any beep from the board.

On the computer that I'm asking for help is intel core i7 920 and this one is intel core2quad Q6000

Double check that the ATX 24-Pin power connector and 8-Pin ATX 12V power connector are firmly attached from the power supply to the motherboard sockets. Also, check that the PCIe power connector is firmly attached to the HD6750 (video card).

That is certainly possible. Did you try with only one memory module installed (instead of the 12GB you have installed now)?
