I have an I 7567 gaming: gtx 1050 4Gb, intel I 5, 8 gb Ram. According to Dave lee youtube video with these specs or with this laptop; I am supposed to play the games in high setting above 100 fps and in ultra a constant 60 fps. But when I try and play overwatch in high or in ultra they basically shows unstable fps moving from 70 to 40 but most of the time my fps is played at 40 fps. And in medium setting most of the time at 50 fps. I do not know if I can compare to paladin but in paladin I get 70- 80 fps at max setting .

I have another question how come mylaptop has a gtx 1050 with 4 gb because I know that gtx 1050 are supposed to be 2 gb video card.

Thanks for your reply

1050 come with 4GB - 1050 TI. laptops come with a half baked 1050, but probably still ship with 4GB.

did this video state overwatch framerates? or just general gaming framerates?

I dont know who dave lee is, but unless he takes a laptop out of its factory seal, plugs it in and installs a game infront of my eyes, i dont really rate youtube, else i would believe godzilla can get rid of buildings without breaking a sweat.
i dont mean offence, but who is to say he isnt sitting in a 10C climate controlled room (to stop throttling), with a slightly larger base fan installed/bios tweek/etc?
also remember some tubers are sponsored by manufacturers to give favorable results, akin to handing out non-spam, clutter free systems. whilst you buy one off the shelf, its most likely full of adware, norton, and a number of other crappy programs.

anyway, is it 720p gaming? 1080p? bet if you played at 720p ultra, you would be flying at 100fps too.

You can be completely right. It can just be a commercial. He specifies overwatche fps at 1080p at high setting can easily play more than 100+ fps.
What do u think of my specs am I supposed to get higher frame rates as I am getting 50 fps at high setting.

I do not have a ssd. v sync is off even if I reduce graphic setting most of the time I get 50 fps or by luck 60or 70 but most of the time it stucks at 50 -55 fps. I mean the 60 -70 fps occurs when I have to wait before attacking.
Instead of overwatch, I used to play paladin at max graphic a setting with a stable 80 fps.

maybe there is a setting in the nvidia control panel? i guess you tried all of that already? 🙁 some gpus have their own 'oc' software that runs alongside the nvidia, dont suppose you have a program like that? it could be restricting the fps to keep the heat down.

I had try before playing with the setting in control to improve my gameplays but instead it had deteriorate my gaming experience but after resetting it to the default setting it was much better but that was before getting overwatch. Now, I have gta 5 which is played at a constant 60fps or rarely drop below 60 fps, pes 2017, tekken 7, and injustice god amongst us plays at a good 60 fps I play most of my game with v sync on as it is more smooth except overwatch. Overwatch with v sync on instead of being stuck at 60 it stucks at 55 fps and it further drop when I start playing.
