Here are my specs.
1TB HDD
AMD A10-5800K processor
Cruicial Ballistix 2X4gb
Nvidia Geforce GTX 970
Windows 8.1 pro

I have been having this problem with a lot of games i play, if not all of them. Playing a game like Warframe at maxed everything, i get an avg. of 45-48fps in a mission. my friend with a 650ti is running everything with the same settings and can stay at a constant 60. V-sync is off. a 970 should be knocking fps out of the park. but i'm thinking it could be the processor that's holding it back :(

So it should be your dual monitor setup. Both your monitors needs 2340480 number of pixels to be produced for each frame. But even a 1080p monitor needs only 2116800 pixels. So your FPS is justifiable in such monitor arrangement.(I think your friend is using a single 1440 X 900 monitor or less)

He got back online. he said his resolution is 1920x1080. and i forgot to specify that i'm not actually dual screening as in using two monitors to play a game, the second monitor is just that. a second monitor. i use the HD tv for games.
