Is how much fps on your system defined by the processor or by RAM and graphics card? Because im going to be buying a new graphics card and RAM and i want to know whether or not ill get better FPS.

Processor - Intel Pentium D duel core 3.00. GHz clock speed

Graphics card - ATI HD 5450 2GB

RAM - 4GB (3.25 available) DDR2

What should i upgrade to get better fps, processor or ram and graphics card? - i will be upgrading all eventually just don't have the money at the moment. Thanks.

It's a tough question to answer with important variables.

But generally speaking it's gpu>cpu>memory.

On the other hand if you have a powerful gpu and a weak cpu, then your cpu will have hard time to answer your gpu's speed which means a bottleneck. So your specs should be in balance.

But upgrading your gpu will give more noticeable performance increase at the moment. Then you can upgrade to a better cpu-motherboard-memory trio when you have the budget. But still your cpu is not powerful to run the most demanding cpu intesive games like Battlefield 4 or Crysis 3.

Also you need to switch to 64bit operating system to fully utilize your 4GB (or more) memory.
