Let us know how it goes.
Hi, i have got news to report; in witcher 3 i removed all the fps caps from rivatuner and set the max frames from 144 to unlimited in the game settings, for the little time i played (about 5 to 10min) i didn´t notice any stutters or frametime spikes, both in taau preset, and xesss preset. gpu was always around 99% usage. Also, gpu temp were around the 50s while hot spot temp was around 75º C. fans were up crazy though. Do you think i should have my fans that fast and have lower temps,or is this tradeoff not worth it?

By the way the other games i play (jump force\one piece pirate warriors 4) are all hard locked at 60 fps, and those are the games i play the most, so i notice the stutters more. Could it be that the stutters come from being ue4 games? i read those are poorly optimized, even though i have more than enough power to run them. Any thoughts?

oh and lastly, could the stutters be from playing with a wireless xbox controller? ( i also played w3 with mouse and keyboard instead of the controller)

Thank you as always

This sounds better, and is what I'd expect. GPU and hotspot temps are perfectly fine. If the hotspot was very high like 105c or something, it might account for the issues. But it's not.

I doubt the UE4 engine could be causing it, but stranger things have happened. We'll keep that open for now.

Perhaps. Are you using the dongle for windows, or bluetooth?

i am using a bluetooth dongle. for the xbox controller. the dongle came with my previous xbox one wireless controller, now i have an xbox series x controller.

No, just make sure the most recent version of each.

If you haven't done the bios update before, then let us know which bios you currently have (you can use CPU-z to determine this). And then we can advise on what to do for the bios.
hi, just cheking in: i had updated the bios once before to this version now:

https://valid.x86.fr/99955k

already updated chipset drivers and gpu driver;
if i update the bios what will happen to my pbo2 settings\xmp\smart access memory? how can i keep them?

Cheers!

The bios update will wipe them as pointed out by @logainofhades mentioned.

You can create a profile in the bios, and store it on a USB. Once the bios is back up and running you can restore the profile. Note: Sometimes this doesn't always work, so again as suggested ^, note the settings down and manually configure if needed.

hmm ok, will i have to clear cmos by shorting the 2 pins in my moboard?

Yes. Power off. Take out all cables. PSU switch off. Remove battery. Short pins. Put battery back in. Power up.

When you first boot after a successful CMOS clear, you will be presented with a screen that points you to the bios to reconfigure it. Also, for some mobos you may have to power cycle once or twice so the memory gets re-trained. This may not happen though.

External cables. PSU power cord, USB cables/dongles, or any wired devices like mouse/keyboard.

All internal cables will be left untouched, unless you need to remove the GPU to get at the battery.
yes, i need to remove the gpu in order to access the batery... what should i do then?

Touch a metal grounded object to ensure you don't spark.

Remove the power cable from the GPU. There might be a little clip to take the cable out.
Then unscrew the GPU at the IO panel. The next bit is a little tight work, but you will need to release a plastic retention clip to the rear of the GPU. It's on the end of the PCIe port. Then you will gently manoeuvre the GPU from front to back in small angles and pull the GPU out. Then do as mentioned. Put the GPU back. and then fire it up.

I think your stuttering is caused by your wildly irratic clock speeds on your cpu. They keep bouncing between 3.7ghz and 4.5ghz. My desktops don't do that, i'm not sure why your cpu is preferring to stay at low clock speeds, your cpu temp is really low. I would reset your bios to all defaults and try again. Typically my clock speeds stay near the max boost and maybe dip -100 to -200mhz under heavy load. They never keep bouncing around like that all the time, especially a an 800mhz drop. There's something wrong there.

You could be right. Clear CMOS will revert bios to base, so we can judge better then.

so did everything you guys told me to, updated to most recent gpu and chipset drivers, and did the bios update with clearing cmos batttery( got the notice of it when i booted the system) and decided to boot a game and see how things are, and its not good...

i am sad to report that the game was running horribly and definetely worse than before. I don't know what it is, can you help me?

Here is a showcase of the gameplay, please watch it i left the monitoring stats for you guys to see. right at the beginning the camera stutters during a special move, that never happened before. also the pc feels more sluggish i think

I can get more gameplay examples if you want..

it is stuttering bad, my 1%lows are in the 30s \20s, that never happened, and it seems i cant record those stutters, it feels like its on purpose...
