Hello... i few days ago i posted a message about a problem in my system... but no one is really helping anymore, and the problem is getting really annoying...
First of all my specs...

* Asus Rampage Mobo (came with the SupremeFx II Sound card, so im using it)
* Q9550 (stock speeds)
* Artic Pro 7 cooler
* 2 x 2GB OCZ Reaper PC8500 (stock speed which is 800mhz not 1066 as advertised)
* Sapphire Radeon HD3870 Toxic Edition (factory oc)
* 2 x 250gb Seagate Barracuda ES.2 (took off the jumpers)
* Corsair 620watt PSU
* Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit

The computer keeps freezing at random times, at first i thought i had done something bad while overclocking, but now everything is set on auto, and it keeps freezing.... then i thought it was a bad memory stick, well i checked them using windows tools, the are both working fine... Then i thought it was a bad driver, so i reinstalled windows and all the drivers as well, but as you can imagine it did not work... The first time it froze i was uploading a video in youtube, so i rebooted the machine and tried it again, the same thing happened ... Then after reinstalling everything this time i was able to upload two videos without having problems, but after a couple of minutes of glory, it stopped working....

I am really confuse, how can the computer stand 17 hours of the torturte test (passing every single test) and the just freeze when is not doing anything at all... just tell me what you need to know ... thanks again

I have done the memtest.. and it came back with no errors...

I reinstalled every component in my case, and the problem remain... Last freeze came while writting an email .. come on ... please help me out.. post any suggestions in your mind....

Thank you in advance...

I will keep you posted with the updates on the issue...

Try putting a single stick of memory into a different slot. I'm woking on a friends PC that is having similar issues. I noticed that his memory requires 2.1v for the memory to work correctly (it even passes memtest too). His mobo doesn't have voltage adjustments for the memory, so I can't really test his memory correctly. Another thing that I'd check is what your memory needs to operate correctly. Most stick will say on the label what is required, so check the setting and set the voltage (in your BIOS) to the required value.

Hi!... voltages are set to 2.2 ...Its suppose on the website... I'll try one stick at a time, again... cause last time it worked for about 20 minutes on one stick and then froze.. but i didnt get a chance to test the other one... I will do that today...
thanks for the reminder 😀

Have you flashed the BIOS to the latest version? I recently built a system with a Gigabyte board that would randomly lock up. A BIOS flash did the job. Good luck.

I will try flashing it but, it the 408 version, and the new one is the 409 .... I will try it, and see if it works... Thanks again :)
