I just installed a sound card (sound blaster and it is
compatible for XP) and my computer keeps freezing up
after a while

Hi,

The sound drivers may be not properly installed.
Go to creative.com to download the latest XP drivers for your sound card and save it to a specific folder(do not save it to desktop)
CARE: make sure to download the correct drivers version.
Go to add or remove program to remove the existing sound drivers and then reboot.
Check to ensure now your system is stable.
Temporarily disable the antiVirus application and then install the sound drivers then reboot.

Hope it helps.

Peter
