Hi. I'm having issues with sound on my Linux OS. I have this version on 2 desktop PCs and the sound works fine on both. I have tried using this same OS with a mini PC connected to a TV monitor. I have no sound on the TV. I also tried it on another TV and no sound there either? I'm wondering if there is some difference with TV versus PC monitor? Any input on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

What specific mini PC and what sound chip does it have? Does the mini PC produce any sound through any of its outputs, e.g. headphones, etc.? Did it ever produce sound with previous versions of Linux? Although this version of Linux has certainly improved in supporting various hardware devices, it still may not include a driver for your mini PC if the sound chip is different from your desktop PCs. For years I couldn't get any Linux sound output from my PCs which have a Realtek ALC4080 sound chip and what's now referred to as usb audio so I was shocked that this new version of Linux supports it. Maybe your mini PC is still unsupported.

It is a Beelink SEi12 mini PC, that I just purchased this week. Sound chip, don't have that info and my IT person (daughter) is not currently here to ask, sorry. I don't have headphones to test that. Right now the issue is with LM 20.3. I had version 21.3 at one point and the sound did work with that version.

I suggest having your daughter update you to LM 22 and see if that solves the problem. Alternately you could just download LM 22, mount it on a usb stick, and boot from that to see if it resolves your problem.

Also, are you using a good quality HDMI cable to connect it to your TV?
