Is there any way to view the friends list offline. Like maybe email or
export it. Say for instance you wanted to check stats on your buddies. If
you have a long list it would take time to write down all the gamer tags.

I'm pretty sure you can do that if you register your gamertag at Bungie.net.

You can link your gamertag to a MSN messenger account. Details should
be at www.xbox.com under the Xbox Live section.

Oh, I thought that was automatic. I'll register then.

To register online yov need a Microsoft net passport. Once yov get one yov
can register at Bvngie.net to view Halo 2 stats for yovrself and friends and
see who is playing Halo 2 online. better yet register with yovr net
passport and Xbox.com/live and yov will be able to see yovr entire friends
list on the net along with who is on and what they're playing. Beats having
to tvrn on the TV and Xbox to see if anyone is on to play with from the Xbox
dashboard.

I haven't checked mine in a while, but it's always worked in the past.

Does yours work? Mine always says I have no Xbox Live Friends although I
have 60-70 friends on live.

When you get the "No friends" message, check back later. This seems to
happen at peak times and I think it is due to a time out when trying to
retrieve the list from X-box live. Microsoft has acknowledged this issue
and claims to be working on it.

Also, you can add an X-box Live Alerts module to MSN Messenger, which will
display your friends list in the messenger and pop up notices when one of
your friends signs into Live or switches games. Pretty cool to keep it open
on your desktop, instead of having to go the website to check it.

Excelsior!!!
