Question front mic jack not working

My front audio jack works fine but the mic jack dose not work. I have been trying to fix the issue for awhile now but all the tutorials I have seen say you need realtek audio manager which i do not have. The mic is detected but if I listen to it it does not make any sound except when I flick the mute button causing a loud crack but after that nothing happens no matter the position. I have tried with other headsets but keep having the same problem its very annoying.

Does it work in rear jack ? If it doesn't, do you have Realtek HD audio drivers installed and t's control panel working ?

Yes it works in the rear jack but I don't have realtek HD audio drivers.
