hi,
when i try to apply disc cleanup, it refuses to respond
and when it does it comes on my screen froze on 3 bars
and stays there.
i would be very greatful if someone could offer me
advise on how to solve this problem.
as a result of not being able to do this my pc is
running VERY slow.

Disk Cleanup does typically pause for a while at the point you indicate. If
you have not given it five or ten minutes it may be operating normally but
just needs to be allowed more time.
