Does anyone wonder why this group is dying and web forums are taking
off?

Actually, its funny that he is back in such force. A while back, there
was a MarkslimeVending@aol.com that was posting and immitating, with a
great deal of accuracy I might add, MARK's peculiar speaking. About a
month of MARK shouting and crying "That's not me!!!" goes on, yet,
without looking a headers, you couldn't tell the two apart. MARK
reaches his breaking point, and starts posting with better grammar, and
more refined posts, stating how he has grown up. He finally met his
match. For the last 4-5 months, MARK disappeared, and the newsgroup's
quota of spelling and punctuation errors decreased 10 fold. I guess
that the lesson didn't last long enough, because obviously he is back
to his old bag of tricks.
I used to find him irritating, now I just laugh. All it takes is
immitation, and the loser will be running away with his tail between
his legs. I'd start up the imitation, but eh, it isn't worth the time.
Really, just don't engage him. It is pointless. He only fails to
immitation.

I've dealt with Jon many times, and as most know he is an honest guy.
Talk to Mark Hooks and see if he would like those boards Jon. I sold
him 3 or 4 a while back so he could fix and turn them.

He is obviously selling boards that cant be fixed.Or he would fix them and
ask the average going rate which is around 125.00 per board.That is why i
would only offer 2 dollars a board.I think thats a fair offer for something
that is good for parts only.

Hi,

I happen to know Jon. I am sure he like anyone else would try to swap
out roms, rams, and proms if he has them on hand and if he could program
the proms. To say that the boards "cant be fixed" or that he is selling
some boards that have been worked on by quality board repair guys and
still cant be fixed is absurd. I would say that the boards have faulty
ttl chips that Jon does not have the knowledge to track down so he is
ready to sell them. I have seen guys fix boards that others could not
get to work in a matter of minutes, it all depends on your skills and
experiences. To say that the board is worth $2, well I guess to you it
is, you must not be able to repair them. On the otherhand, to a skilled
repair man or a novice repair guy it may be a 10 minute fixa and are
worth much more to them. I really dont understand why you post bullshit
like this. It is sad if this is the only way you can have fun with you
day, but I have heard enough of it now to speak up and say something.
