hi again turkey thanks for the answer i actually own an fx-6300 at 4.5ghz but 850watts would give me head room for a fx-8350 if i decided

this brand of psu has 3 levels of psu to pick from a 850, 1000 and a 1200 wattage and the 850 watt is $213 NZD and the 1000 watt is $260 NZD

no i just noticed it in a pc shop close to we're i live and i took one look at it and thought lets check this out

 
If you're talking about a wattage calculator (I don't like to visit sites I'm unfamiliar with) ignore them. They are not very accurate, and there is more than wattage. The primary rails are the 3.3V, 5V, and 12V rails. Increased load on the 3.3V and 5V means less potential current on the 12V. Also, as temperature of the PSU rises, potential decreases, so there are a lot of factors that play into effect here. You also start losing efficiency which also means more heat in ratio to the amount of DC and more heat = decreased lifespan of capacitors.

ok so i'll stick with the 1000watt yes it was a psu calculator and i did worse case senrio on the calculator and power peaked at 771watts
